GOTW week 13

MSU v Wisconsin

The first big10 championship game is a rematch of Wisconsin & Michigan State

MSU knocked off Wisconsin on a final play hail mary & i expect this game to be just as exciting!

I still love this Badgers offence lead by QB Russell Wilson. He has made the offence so much more explosive, heling out what is a star studed backfield.Wilson has thrown for 2692 yards at 72.7% while being so efficent with 28 Td’s to 3 picks. That is flat out awesome, i would like to nominate Wilson for the 2011 Clark Kent award!

As for those playmakers, they still have Nick Toon at wide out & Jared Abbrederis has helped out.Combined the 2 wideouts have 100/1537/15. Great numbers seeing Wisconsin is a running team,Speaking of running; Montee Ball & James White: STUDS! though Ball established himself as number 1.Ball has 1622 yards with 29 TD’s on the ground, putting up Ron Dayne numbers!!

As for the D its still a solid no name bunch, giving up15.2ppg which is good for 4th best.

The D doesnt give up many yards, yet not much big plays are made either. Just a very solid unit, with 23 sacks & 14 picks in total.

As for MSU, the spartans i think have been lucky more than good this season. But that week 8 win over these Badgers may not back up my claim!

The Spartans are lead by Senior QB Kirk Cousins. Who has done pretty well this season. Hes compiled 2735 yards & 21 TD’s to 6 INTS. Not Wilson numbers but still solid. Cousins has 2 solid RB’s to turn to in Leveon Bell & Edwin Baker.

The 2 have put up 1418 yards ruhing with 14 TD’s. Once again, well below the Badgers.

Now the player who has caught the eye of El Jugador is senior wide out BJ Cunningham After having a season high of 641yards as a sophmore, Cunningham has exploded as a senior. Plucking 67 catches for 1125 yards & 9 TD’s. A big time target for Cousins.

Now the Sparty D is actually good, When did that happen???? Not sure the Doctor noticed that either! The team has 38 sacks to go with 16 picks. With Denicos Allen leading with a solid 7 sacks.

In total MSU is actually 6th best in the nation giving up only 15.4ppg. So it appears to be a very even match up on the defensive side of the ball.

This time i think the Badgers will play better offensively. That week 8 loss is still in recent memory. So if they pound the ball with Ball/White & let Wilson run around like a mad man, I see Wisconsin heading to the Rose Bowl again

Oklahoma v Oklahoma State

Do you remember week 1 were every punter was backing on the Sooners to win it all.

Well I was not one of them, I backed their younger brothers and for 10 weeks I was spot on the money.  Take away an emotional loss to Iowa State and I believe we would have seen the cowboys march into New Orleans and cream LSU.

However, they lost against Iowa State (might I add from a suspect field goal not called) and the dream is over. Though they will beat the Sooners this weekend do not worry about that.

Sure the Oklahoma State defence is Swiss cheese, but look who they are playing the OU offense is more banged up than Jenna Jamison. Whaley and Broyles out that is basically 2/3 best offensive players.

I will agree with anyone who wants to tell me how bad Brandon Weeden played against Iowa State. However, it is just one game and one man should not be judged on one game.  The man is a stud and should be considered a Heisman finalist.

The Big 12 title is on the line people and I cannot see Oklahoma State dropping this game and perhaps with a decisive win they could yet again land the number 2 spot. Justin Blackmon is a stud and should help Weeden produce enough for the win.

Here is my main concern though about the Sooners.

The spare parts OU offence is a risky because Landry Jones can still do enough to get the team in a winning position. Not to mention their new running backs Roy Finch and Brandon Williams.

And even though OU’s defence was the pits against Baylor they still have a lot of NFL talent on there.  It will be interesting to see how they go in Stillwater and if they have enough fire power on defence to force the ball over.

OSU have been the favourites for the past 2 years and I think this is third time is a charm.

Cowboys win and win big and then jump Alabama to win the NC.

OSU 37 OU 28

I wish that line above was not  a joke.
