Week 10 GOTW
LSU @ Alabama
DR CFB write up LSU.
After waiting two of the longest week’s judgement day is here and God I am excited.
Both teams are undefeated and coming off the bye pumped up and ready to smash each other in the mouth for the biggest game of the year.
Though don’t be disappointed if this game is not close, actually I am predicting LSU blows Alabama out and here is why:
Trent Richardson will not be a factor against this defence leaving their QB to make big plays. I am picking Richardson to have a lazy 25-30 rushes for 80-100 yards with 1 touchdown. That’s ok but it will not win them the game.
The video that El Jugador will show you was against Ole Miss and that is not an LSU defence, don’t get fooled by his flashy lights and video links TRENT RICHARDSON WILL NOT BE A FACTOR. I am not saying he will not play decently just he will not win them the game.
Now I do not if you know their quarterback AJ Mc Carron but he is hardly a game changer and I predict LSU to force 2-3 turnovers from the QB.
El Jugador wrote this guy up like he was the 2008 Tim Tebow, for shame on you young man. He has not had to make tough throws so how can El Jugador write this, the hardest game Alabama have played is at Penn State and they still won by two touchdowns.
With LSU winning the turnover battle from that mans man defence which includes the BEST secondary in College football today they will have more time to play with their stellar offence.
Morris Claiborne and Brandon Taylor are absolute ball hawks and are going to be licking their lips against a weak Alabama passing attack.
Claiborne and Taylor both 6 foot and built of sheer muscle, lightning quick and love a turnover together they produced 5 turnovers, and love being arrogant just what Dr CFB likes.
Need I mention the other defensive back Tyrann Mathieu who has already forced 4 fumbles and is an animal on defence. This young man does what he likes and will be applying pressure out of the box.
Now for the offence.
Need I mention the best QB tandem in the country of Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee. Regardless of what you think about Jefferson he brings in that extra spice to the offense, with some speed to take off in a wild cat but also has a gun of the arm.
Lee is more conservative and it seems everyone is waiting for the other shoe to drop and Lee to get benched. However, this young man has stood tall and is an awesome pocket passer who has thrown for +1200 yards and has 13 TDS only 1 PICK a real manager of a game.
The LSU running game, that has put up solid numbers with a one two punch combination involving Spencer Ware and Michael Ford with 6 touchdowns each and just under 1,000 yards.
Finally receiver Rueben Randle who has stepped up this year with receiving yards (638 yards), receiving touchdowns (7) and yards per catch (19.3)and is the go to receiver on LSU. I see Randle getting at least 70 yards and a touchdown.
The weather is picked to be mild with no wild winds or rain so the pressure is clearly on the defence, and I don’t see Bama matching it with LSU.
They are called a mirror image of each other in terms of teams but I don’t believe that for a second.
LSU 31 Bama 14
El Jugador Write up Alabama
Doesn’t matter that it is in Alabama, if anything it will mean more pressure on the Tide to come through with a win.
So in week 10′s EPIC Game Of The Week i have taken the side of Alabama & here is the reason to LOVE the ‘Tide:
Alabama Crimson Tide come in ranked an unbelievable number 2!? How did LSU leap frog such a star studded Bama side in the rankings?
Now i can really tell you about my BCS national championship prediction.
Lets start offensively:
QB AJ McCarron: All coach Saban wants from his QB is a smart leader who won’t make mistakes. Here he is! McCarron has thrown for 1664 yards, 10 TD’s & only 3 pics!
That’s the efficiency that makes McCarron perfect for this offense. As he is still good enough to make the tough throws when he’s called upon.
RB Trent Richardson. All i can say is STUD. This future 1st round NFL draft pick has made all the folk in Tuscaloosa forget about Mark Ingram. Richardson is currently the best RB in all the nation.
With 989 yards, 17 TDs and also averaging 6.6 per carry, just hand him the ball and let him run wild! Don’t forget he is that good he rushed for 1451 yards as A BACK UP over his fresh & sophmore seasons!
This Man can win this game by himself! Did i mention he has 200 yards plus receiving as well?? Heisman candidate that’s for sure!
Check out this Run & watch the Ole Miss defenders that gets fooled, TWICE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYLl8WFqP0o
WR Marquis Maze: All though Bama isn’t a passing school, Maze is the elite playmaker that keeps the opposing D in check. Maze is leading Bama with 39 catches for 482 yards.
Playing second fiddle to Julio Jones last season, Maze has stepped up to fill the shoes as number 1 receiver. If McCarron can hook up with Maze, that pesky LSU secondary will be on the back foot.
As a whole, Alabama’s offense is flat out scary! Yes they run more than pass & that might not be as exciting as an air attack offense, the run game is still awesome!
Bama has a 3 headed monster in the backfield: Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacey & Jolston Fowler!
Lacey has 465 yards (8.0 per carry) & Fowler has 329 yards at 7.0 per carry. As a team they are averaging 229.3 yards along the ground.
While the passing game is putting up 228.4, this has lead to putting up 39.4 ppg. THAT’S A BALANCED OFFENSE.
Now for the Defence & i love this stout unit. They have a few playmakers that i NEED to point out:
Courtney Upshaw: The outside Linebacker who is Bama’s best pass rusher. he is leading the team with 4.5 sacks, 11.5 tackles for a loss & also helping with 27 tackles.
This beast stands at 6-2 & 265lbs. That is a sculpted man, who can move around & bring the heat on the QB.
Dont’a Hightower: Another man with great size at 6-4 260. The leader of the D mans the middle at linebacker & at his size makes the big plays for Bama.
Hightower is leading the team with 70 tackles while also adding 1 INT, 1.5 sacks & 6.0 TFL. He’s every where, coverage, in the backfield, hitting the QB. STUD.
Mark Barron: The ballhawking safety at the back end of the Bama D. Barron is every where on the field. Overall Barron has 11 career picks & 3 sacks.
He lead the team last year in tackles & is currently second this year. This is the game that Barron will be licking his chops at.
With the suspect QB tandem, Barron will rove the field looking to make the big play that ruins LSU’s offense.
Overall, Alabama’s D is flat out GANGSTA! More than a mans mans defence, some would say this is a mans mans mans defence, as i said : GANGSTA!
With such a stout overall D, opposing teams have STRUGGLED, with the biggest score any one has put up was Arkansas’ 14 in week 4.
They are only giving up 6.9 ppg. That’s the BEST SCORING D in the nation! good luck with that LSU!
Not to mention Bama has returned 10 starters from last years squad, this D will expose the lack of polish that is the LSU offense.
So in conclusion i see Alabama winning 31 – 24. This will be a slugfest that has high emotions!
Look for the Bama D to be stout & tough, which will ultimately win the game for Alabama.
Don’t forget this game is AT ALABAMA! Bryant-Denny stadium will be rocking!
