Week 6 GOTW
Oklahoma @ Texas
BIG Game here in week 6, how big you ask??
Bigger than El Jugdor’s gut….. Thats right.
Its the yearly Red River Rivarlry between #11 Texas and #3 Oklahoma, at Dallas,TX so basically a Texas home game.
Im picking Oklahoma in this game for a few good reasons:
1. Texas is playing 2 QB’s. Poor old Garrett Gilbert is sitting on the pine after taking over for Colt McCoy but thats because he flat out stinks. Texas is now trotting out McCoy’s little bro Case & true freshman David Ash. This tells me that coach Mack Brown has no idea who to play. If you got 2 qb’s that means you have NO qauterbacks. Come to think of it, i might even get a few snaps after this week.
2. How the ‘Horns have being playing. Texas may be winning but from what I’ve seen of them it hasn’t been all that impressive. With their toughest game so far being BYU at home, it was far from a good win only just crawling over the line 17 -16. Now look how BYU have been playing……… Texas needs to pray to which ever god they believe in & hope the Defence keeps them in the game. Which is only giving up 14.8ppg but once again look at who they have played.
Finally 3. Oklahoma is simply BETTER! just like El Jugador has a better throwing arm then the pie throwing Dr. College Football. Oklahoma enters this game averaging 555.1 yards per game & this has come agaisnt a ranked Florida State team and a confrence game against Mizzou. Now they did pad these stats with an absolute demolition of Ball State this past week. However, they also have a strong D only giving up 15.3ppg & this will give the Texas qb combo absoulte fits as the 2 have not seen a D like this so far.
There is 3 great reasons that i believe in the Sooners to pull off a good win. Look for OK QB/WR combo Landry Jones & Ryan Broyles to hook up for big plays & a mix of Dominique Whaley and Brennan Clay to keep a solid but unspectacular ground game rolling. This not the Texas team that we have all come to expect but i still think they will play hard and make Oklahoma earn this victory. Personally, i just don’t see how THIS Texas team can pull off the victory. This should be the first time OK has back 2 back wins in this series since 03/04.
Oklahoma 38 Texas 21
The score might seem like a blow out but Texas should put up a fight for some of the game,
after all this is the Red River Rivarlry.

Auburn @ Arkansas
Normally I would not touch this game but after Auburn shocked most fans last week with a thrilling victory over South Carolina, it now has game of the week potential.
I am picking Arkansas and mainly because of their awe-inspiring quaterback Tyler Wilson who threw up 510 yards last week against a decent A&M defense.
Wilson is putting up video game numbers and last year when he filled in for an injured Mallet against Auburn he threw for 332 yards and four touchdowns and that was in just over a half of football.
The guy is a stud and should lead his receivers – Greg ‘I am a man’ Childs to put up some big numbers against an inconsistent Auburn defense.
Both teams come into the game with 4-1 records losing to undefeated teams Clemson and Alabama.
However, have the Auburn Tigers just been lucky all this time? After all they only just beat Utah State and Missippi State, got thumped by Clemson, somehow kept Jarmcus Lattimore down last week and to be honest their offense is pretty pathetic.
Auburn better hope they can run the ball downhill all day with their premiere back Jonathan Dwyer, or they are going to cop a flogging in Arkansas.
I don’t see the Auburn defense stopping the Arkansas offense so they need to score and personally El Jugador has got more of a chance scoring this weekend than the Auburn offense.
I am only predicting they score 3 times so I think that is a plausible statement. 2.5 if you count a field goal a half.
El Jugador said last week on the podcast every SEC game is big and this is no different.
The SEC West is loaded with talented teams and WHEN Arkansas wins they will continue to bridge the gap between LSU and Alabama and keep their flickering hope of a championship game alive.
I do not see Auburn getting close to Arkansas this week and I think the Hogs will blow them out.
Arkansas 45 – Auburn 17
How is that for having some balls El Jugador
