Week 8 Upsets
Sooooo, this weeks upset pick is more a random guess and I've managed to pick this game:
Dan Persa is back
Northwestern over Penn State @ Evanston, IL Well, I think if i fail on this game NU will be the first member of the black book. BUT! I genuinely like the wildcats chances with out knowing the odds! NU now has senior QB Dan Persa up & running and with a few hard losses under their belt, I like the wildcats to bounce back and get their first big10 win. NU is not as bad as the 2-4 record would have you think. Penn does come in at 6-1 with said loss against Alabama. I hear you saying " El Jugador, how can you like Penn over the 'cats ??" simple: Penn state are using 2 qb's. The major prob is neither are that good! Matt McGloin is leading in passing with Rob Bolden a few yards behind him. While neither has 50 yards rushing? At least they could play a pocket passer & a scrambler... But at the end of the day they are just average at best QB's. My last solid reason to dislike Penn State: schedule. I said Stanford had a vanilla schedule! And this is worse so What's worse than vanilla?? Maybe dr college footballs dance moves! Taking away the loss to bama, Penn's best win is the 13-3 win over Iowa? Hardly impressive! At the end of the day Persa needs to beat the Penn State QB combo. If they can get a good game out of 1 running back, Persa can also hit WR Jeremy Ebert for some big plays. Neither defense is good enough to make a big impact on this game, so as stated which QB plays best will win. Northwestern 21 Penn State 20 Not a pretty game I think - El Jugador

USC over Notre Dame
As soon as I saw these odds I jumped up and shouted Ureka.
How can USC be such bad underdogs against an inconsistent Notre Dame team.
Could it be because they are a Souther California team used to the sunshine and blond haired wiomen who now have to go to a cold ugly place in Indiania.
Yes Notre Dame have won 4 in a row and seem to have reinstored their confidence after losing their first two games but it is time for a let down.

Remember last weekend when I highlighted three players USC QB Matt Barkely WR Woods and FS TJ Mc Donald well it is no different to this week.
Sure they are not playing is sunny cal but I think they do enough to get the win and put ND back in their box.
They are called the Fighting Irish but this week I see them as the Running Irish when the Trogans come into their town and start messing up the joint.
I do not think this weill be a blow out but I see USc getting by with only minimal trouble.
After all there best win has come against MSU and we all know how I feel about them.
